Google Search Generative Experience

Google is testing a new search experience that uses generative AI to provide more information and context to users’ queries. The new experience, called Search Generative Experience (SGE), is currently available in the US as part of the Search Labs program.

With SGE, users can ask questions in natural language and get more comprehensive answers. For example, if you search for “How to make a cake,” SGE will provide a recipe, along with tips and tricks from professional bakers. You can also ask SGE more open-ended questions, such as “What are the best places to visit in Paris?” SGE will then generate a list of relevant results, along with information about each destination.

SGE is still under development, but it has the potential to make Google Search even more powerful and useful. By providing more context and information to users, SGE can help people find the information they need more quickly and easily.

Here are some of the features of SGE:

  • Natural language queries: SGE can understand natural language queries, so you can ask questions in the same way you would talk to a friend.
  • Comprehensive answers: SGE provides more comprehensive answers than traditional search results, including information from a variety of sources.
  • Personalized results: SGE can personalize results based on your interests and search history.

If you’re interested in trying SGE, you can sign up for the Search Labs program at http://labs.google.com/search .
